Table Tennis
Beyond the fast paced rallies and precise smashes lies a sport that thrives on unity, discipline, and team spirit. Though often seen as an individual pursuit, our Table Tennis team is built on collaboration, mutual support, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Under the watchful eyes of our passionate coaches, each player is trained to sharpen her skills and push her boundaries. The sport is open to all grades, including primary. Together, we cultivate not only technical mastery but also confidence and camaraderie.
The Amity table tennis encounter between Methodist College and Bishop’s College, is an annual event that is much anticipated in the table tennis calendar. As always, the event brings together skill, sportsmanship, and a sense of friendly rivalry that has grown stronger over the years.
Some of the past achievements of our team,
- Our U16 team Emerged Champions at the Western Province National School Games and later secured 3rd place at the All-Island National School Games Tournament, for the first time in the history of Bishop’s College Table Tennis.
- At the Western Province Table Tennis Ranking Championship, Pramukshi Fernando emerged as the U15 Girls Singles Champion.
- The Annual Amity Encounter between Bishop’s College and Methodist College was a season highlight, with Bishop’s College dominating the Under 10, 12, and 16 categories, and clinching the overall trophy for the second consecutive year, while Methodist College took the Over 16 title.
These achievements are a testament to the passion, persistence, and power of teamwork that fuel Bishop’s College Table Tennis.
As we celebrate these milestones, we remain focused on what truly matters shaping strong individuals who uplift one another, on and off the table. Our vision goes beyond titles and trophies; we’re fostering resilience, friendship, and a legacy of excellence. The Bishop’s College Table Tennis team continues to be a symbol of pride and potential, and we invite every student to be part of this powerful journey.
