Diving

Though the origins of the Bishop’s College Diving team cannot precisely be dated, it is known to have a long standing history in competing in many national and even international events.

Our diving team has accumulated numerous victories, some consecutively, over the years under the tutelage and guidance of our coaches, teachers-in-charge, vice principal and principal. Some of the notable meets we annually participate in include;

• The SLASU Novices Diving Championships
• The SLSASA Novices Diving Championships
• The National Age Group Diving Championships
• The Sri Lanka Schools’ Diving Championships
• The Junior National and National Diving Championships.

A few of the international meets our divers have participated in are;

• The South Asian Aquatic Championship
• The Asian Age Group Championship

Our college diving team trains every Thursday and Friday at the Sugathadasa Stadium diving pool. We look forward to competing in all upcoming events and continuing to keep our school flag flying high for many more years to come.
