Cricket is more than just a sport in Sri Lanka, it is a way of life, a heartbeat that unites the nation. This same passion first ignited within the halls of Bishop’s College years ago, when a trailblazing young Bishopian dared to ask, “Why not us?” Her rebellious vision sparked a revolution, and today, cricket stands proudly as a testament to the resilience, leadership, and unshakable team spirit that defines our school.

At Bishop’s College, our main focus is on softball cricket, the sport is open to all students from grade 6 and upwards. The teams dedication and hardwork, guided by our ever enthusiastic coach, allowed us to achieve these milestone achievements.

Some of the past achievements of our team,

• Bishop’s College emerged Champions at the Zonal Cricket Tournament 2024 after 10 years.
• The team emerged Champions at the Divisional Cricket Tournament 2025

Apart from these achievements, the Bishop’s College cricket team was given the opportunity of taking part in the T20 Friendly Cricket tournament in India where they emerged as runners up. The Cricket team also takes pride in hosting the annual friendly Cricket encounter with the Mukkompon Maha Vidyalayam of Poonakary Initiated and organized by the App’e Lanka Foundation for the past 7 years.
