Basketball

Here at Bishop’s College, we combine skill, teamwork, and strategic thinking in every player on and off the court, guided by passionate coaches. Nearly 50 students across U13, U15, U17, and U20 categories give their all, driven by love for the game, unity, and the desire to grow stronger together.

Some of the past achievements of our team,

• The U 15 team competed in the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Tournament and was able to advance to the quarterfinals.
• For the first time in history, the encounter between Methodist College and Bishop’s College was also held this year.

The team takes pride in organizing and taking part in Inter house competitions as well as major Inter school tournaments along with many friendly matches against various schools throughout the year. We are preparing for many events such as the Basketball camp, MCBC Encounter 2025, as well as upcoming Provincial matches.

Driven by passion and purpose, our basketball team continues to grow in strength and spirit. At Bishop’s College, we believe success is more than just points on a scoreboard. It’s about shaping character, building resilience, and creating lasting bonds among our players. The basketball court has become a space where students discover their potential, support one another, and strive together. We take pride in this journey and invite all students to be part of a team where growth, unity, and achievement go hand in hand.
