Nursery School

In the NURSERY of Bishop’s College we believe that every great story begins with a beautiful beginning and this is where our little ones learn not just how to read a story – but how to become the story.

From the beginning of the year” see you soon’s” at the gate, to the final hug at the days’ end, our little learners are on a journey.

The rustle of crayons on paper, the curious hues of questions waiting to unfold, the soft switch of paint brushes, the gentle clatter of building blocks tumbling, the whisper of story book pages, each day opens to new discoveries.

Tiny hands pinch dough, tear paper, build castles, walk the ramp and learn to seal a ‘boo boo’. Numbers dance on paper, words become friends and stories become adventures.

We bake bread, we mix cocoa, we dance with scarves, we mix Christmas cake and we even paint outdoors with our toes.

Our daily ‘Wonder Circle ‘ switches from Cucumbers & Sea urchins, Unicorns & Dragons, Beetroots & Bananas, Carrots & Clocks and not for getting map reading & tidying up. Every fall is followed by a rise: Every moment is a chance to grow.

Our Nursery isn’t just a classroom: It is a stage of first’s- first friend: first mud bath: first song sung loud a proud.
