Ceremonial Opening of the Roshanne Wijesuriya Building
The Roshanne Wijesuriya Building for Advanced Level students was ceremoniously opened on the 150th Founders’ Day, the 21st of January 2025, by Rt. Revd. Dushantha L. Rodrigo, 16th Bishop of Colombo. Mr. Rajan Asiriwatham, Manager of Bishop’s College, Ms. Chemali G. Herath, 22nd Principal of Bishop’s College and the main contributors, Mr. Nahil Wijesuriya and Ms. Nalika Nanayakkara. We were also honoured to have the presence of our distinguished past pupil, Hon. Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya, alongside Reverend Sarah Hutton, Vice Principal Ms. Chrishnika Galbadage, and the 2025 Head Girl.
A special plaque dedicated to Mrs. Roshanne Wijesuriya’s memory was unveiled by Mr. Wijesuriya and his family, and Ms. Nalika Nanayakkara unveiled another plaque acknowledging the numerous other donors. The opening of the building took place in the presence of special invitees, present and past pupils, staff and well-wishers.
