Student Christian Movement - Senior

The Student Christian Movement aims to encourage students in their walk with Christ, to have an intimate relationship with our Lord and share with others the Gospel that saved us all.

Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Annual Events

St. Margaret’s Sale
The Bishop’s College Calendar includes a St. Margaret’s day fair, proceeds of which went to the school and home at Polwatte. The clubs and societies took the responsibility of organizing various types of games and fundraisers and the SCM too shows their support to the sisters by hosting stalls.

The annual SCM day is organized under a specific theme bringing together different schools. A guest speaker for the day delivers a message and the rest of the day is followed by a session of worship and games.

SCM Camp

The scm camp is held annually for a period of 2-3 days in different premises. The camp consist of game sessions, a time of arts and crafts, praise and worship sessions and many messages given by multiple guest speakers. Often, a campfire too is held and in 2018 Ladies College was invited for this event.

Easter Programme
The programme is held annually under different themes, with the participation of the Junior SCM including a message, drama and praise and worship sessions. The easter programme reminds us that we are saved today because of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
