Rowing

The Bishop’s College Rowing team, which was introduced in the year 2007, is a highly respected and integral component of our school’s sports program. Comprised of students from Grade 6 to 14, our team members share a common passion for rowing and are dedicated to honing their skills and knowledge. Our Coaches are experienced rowers who are committed to helping our team members reach their full potential and with their coaching, over the years, our rowing team has achieved great success in various regattas, and we are proud to have won
several prestigious titles and championships.

We compete in several regattas throughout the year, including the Head of the Beire, Sculling Ladder Opening Regatta, Ranfer Sprints, Southwest Monsoon Regatta and Closing Regatta held at the Colombo Rowing Club. Additionally, we also compete in the Sri Lanka Nationals and Inter School Regattas at the Diyawanna Rowing Centre.

Our team members represent our school with pride and distinction, and we are committed to promoting the sports of rowing in Sri Lanka, particularly in Bishop’s College as we believe that rowing is a sport that instills valuable life skills.
