Netball

Netball, the oldest women’s sport of Sri Lanka, introduced by the British is one of the oldest sports of Bishop’s College as well. Currently, the Bishop’s College team is coached by Miss Yamuna Sandamali. She is a renowned personality in Sri Lankan Netball, moreover in the international netball community as well; She is currently the Sri Lanka Beach Netball president, chairperson of the Sri Lanka Development Coaches Association and a proud teammate of the Asia Cup champion team (1980). The Netball team of Bishop’s College has been a long-standing team with consistence with the constant support of our dedicated teachers-in-charge. It is a friendly team with acceptance for all. One of our most prominent past projects was the sporting development camp held in 2022. And our future project for the year 2023 is an out-station adventure camp. We end this by hoping that Bishop’s College netball will stand as long as Bishop’s College stands.
