UN Club
The United Nations Club of Bishop’s College strives to improve our society with a number of Community Service Projects annually. We also organize various other events and conduct an annual UN Day each year, whilst promoting the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals through the work we do.
The UN Club members are also encouraged to participate in various MUN Conferences as it is an academic simulation of the United Nations,
Origin
The United Nations Club has been set up to create awareness of the need for harmony in the world. In 1998 Bishop’s College celebrated this in the form of a Model United Nations’(MUN) Conference where eleven invited schools participated. The theme was “Children at Risk” and each school representing a country spoke on topics such as Child Labour, Child Prostitution.
