Media Unit

The media unit of Bishop’s college offers the student body ample opportunities to develop their technical and communication skills. We help them cultivate their skills in written media, graphic designing, audio and video editing.

History

An initiative taken by the Prefect’s Guild, the media unit, was introduced on the 26th of June 2021, making it Bishop’s College’s most recent addition to the list of clubs and societies in our school. At a time where digital media and technology is developing at a rapid pace and everyone is within the safety of their own homes, we at Bishop’s College wanted to provide our students an outlet to channel all their creativity while being in the safety of their homes.

Recent Events

The media unit had its very first meeting on the 16th of July 2021. After a fair and thorough selection process the final 50+ members were elected. The editors, president and TIC were introduced to all the members during the meeting.  

Assistance was provided to the Social Service Club to compile the assembly video for the month of July. The media unit also designed a new digital logo for the UN club while providing technical assistance to the organising committee of a UN project. 

Upcoming Events

At the moment the media unit along with the BC choir is working on a cover for the Order Service that will be distributed at future church services. Later this year a workshop will also be held for all the students to broaden their knowledge about media literacy.

The media unit will also be publishing its very first e-newsletter next term. This will showcase the high caliber talent our members possess.
