The Executive Committee of the PTA took office for the year 2010/20111 at the AGM held in November 2010. They met regularly during the ensuing period which comprised 6 meetings and also held 02 Ordinary General Meetings during the year 2011. During the ensuing year, the following changes occurred amongst the members of the Executive Committee

1. Ms. Uma Mahadevan resigned from the post of Committee Member representing the staff in February 2011 and Ms.Sumudu Jayawickrema was appointed in her place.

2. Ms.Tharangi Goonethilake who was appointed a Committee Member at the previous AGM did not attend 3 consecutive meetings and thus vacated her post by default. Ms.Shaan Jayawardena was appointed in her place in July 2011 and she resigned in October 2011 due to an overseas posting. Ms. F.H. Gaffoor was appointed to fill in this vacancy consequent to the nominations called for at the OGM held during the 2nd term.

3. Ms. Michelle Wickremasekera resigned as a Committee member in September 2011 . Nominations are being called for at the 61st AGM to fill in this vacancy.

4. Dr.Prasanna Cooray has been appointed the PTA Representative on the Board of Governors of Bishops College consequent to the resignation of Ms Michele Wickremasekera who held this post earlier.
